A unique event, proposing FOUR EXHIBITIONS made with games structures so

to"observe" paintings and reveal emotions, stories, compositions, chromatic contrast,

meanings and curiosities. The exhibition was created in September 2000 by

Claudio Cavalli and Lucietta Godi, developing the five-year project "Breragioca"

realized by Clac for Brera Art Gallery.

4 BIG EXHIBITIONS 4

a unique event made of four Exhibitions devoted to children and teenagers,
taking into relevant consideration their age, the psychological contest, their
curiosity the "I likeit, I don't" clue, their level of attention and participation, their
emotions. It is a charming adventure, a way to experience a system of games and
stories where each child, both individually and in group, can discover feelings,
questions, inner growth. It is a world where even harder concepts and information
are given in a playful and comprehensible way.

1) "Antologia di Capolavori in gioco" ("antology of Masterpieces in play")

-Stories, lights and colors inside the painting from year 1300 until 2000.

2) "Macchie rosse nel blu, con gallinaccio" ("red scribbles into blue, with chicken")

-Games and ranges about modern and contemporary art.

3) "Angeli divini e gatti in fuga" ( "divine angels and escaping cats")

- Art and holy , games and stories between heart and sky.

4) "Le donne, i condottier, l'arte e i mestieri" ("Women, knights, art and crafts")

- Stories and games about courtly and renaissance painting.

 



For museums
The exhibition is the opportunity for children to familiarize with the Italian artistic
heritage, the richest and most important in the whole world (Italy holds 65% of
the whole artistic heritage): it is a contribution to the informative and educative
innovation and to the cultural appraisal of this heritage.


For schools

The exhibition is a chance to gather new ideas innovate the educational approach
to visual arts, good taste and aesthetic appeal; here, you can experience and
practice new ways to study and appreciate masterpieces through eyes, bodies,
games, emotions, lectures and modern technologies.

Plan of the exhibition
More than 150 original and interactive games, based on 300 masterpieces from the
XIII century up to the year 2000; unique pieces divided into 70 sets.
The exhibition splits into three thematic paths, according to the age:
1)5-7 years; 2) 8-11 years; 3) 11-14 years; adults will enjoy it as well!

Topics are: a) light; b) colors and shapes; c) feelings and drama; d) stories and
narration; e) everyday objects and life; f) portraits; g) landscapes; h) from modern
to contemporary art; it is possible to choose thematic paths about historical periods, etc….
The exhibition can be divided into sections or selections adaptable to every location
as follows:
- whole exhibition
- selection of the exhibition (15/20 sets)
- small selection (10 sets)
- small sets to present the exhibitions
- mono-thematic exhibitions

Plan of games
Matching games (19); puzzles (12, of which 2 giant); language games with different
structures (11); chromatic games (3, one of them with 10 different solutions);
involving colors and shapes (3); binding books (9); games about light (4, two of them
with more than 10 solutions); lectures (5, two of them with sets from paint experiences);
role and investigation games (3); memo games with cards (4); subject and
background (3); drama and video (8).
A total of 27 tridimensional games, 54 bidimensional, 3 drama sets.
Technologies: cameras with monitors, computer graphics and design.
